All of our hedgehog babies are $225 regardless of color or sex. We do require a $50 deposit to reserve a hedgehog baby with the balance of $175 due in CASH ONLY at pick-up. We do not accept any personal checks. PLEASE NOTE: We must charge 7% Florida Sales Tax on all Florida resident purchases to your entire purchase at pick-up. We operate a licensed business and therefore are required to charge sales tax to residents of the state.
All hedgehog babies born at Beach Bum Hedgehogs and Sugar Gliders will come with a 6 month health guarantee. Our guarantee covers medical and physical defects, unless the illness is caused by neglect. All of our babies also come with a lifetime guarantee against Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS). If your baby should develop WHS, they will be replaced at no charge with a new baby (except shipping charges). I will require a copy of a necropsy report showing positive WHS from a licensed veterinarian of my choice prior to replacing the baby.
All of our gliders here at Beach Bum Hedgehogs and Sugar Gliders are covered by a 72 hour health guarantee. All gliders are guaranteed to be in good health upon their departure from us. If your glider should experience any stress related symptoms please see a vet immediately. Stress related illness is not covered under our warranty. That is the sole responsibility of the new owner.
We do ship our hedgehogs and sugar gliders to legal states. We generally ship through Continental Airlines. Costs for shipping alone can range from $230 to $260 depending upon which airline we use. We do try to ship through Continental Airlines whenever possible as they are less expensive, but if they do not ship into an airport that is close enough to you, we can ship through Delta Airlines, which will be on the high end of shipping. This fee includes the cost of the flight, crate, supplies for the animal to fly, and also includes the cost of transportation to the airport. We do not make a profit on shipping charges. If you wish to purchase insurance for your new pet through the airlines a health certificate is required. The cost for up to 5 animals is approximately $70 (which includes the vet visit). The cost does increase as additional animals are shipped. The expense of the insurance purchased through the airlines is also an additional charge. If you do wish to purchase insurance please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance of shipping.
Please be certain that you want to purchase a hedgehog or sugar glider prior to sending us a deposit. Once we receive a deposit we do reserve the animal for you. If you should change your mind the deposit is non-refundable as we will have to now find a new home for the baby that was reserved for you. The exception to this policy is if you decide you would like to place your deposit towards a different animal.
